Founder & Instructor Sabrina Perez

Sabrina has been obsessed with Horses ever since she was a very small child and soon realized her calling in life was to work to help heal them. She decided to pursue a career as a veterinarian and attended Cal Poly Pomona’s pre-veterinary program. However, life happened, and circumstances changed; she didn’t end up attending veterinary school as she had planned; instead, she pursued healing horses from a more holistic approach. When Sabrina was 12 years old, a kind woman at her barn gifted her a book called Beating Muscle Injuries For The Equine Athlete, written by Jack Meagher. Jack Meagher was considered the Grandfather of Sports Massage and was known for taking massage, and taking the athlete; he created a form of massage best suited to meet the needs of the athlete which we now know as Sports Massage. It wasn’t until Sabrina was in her 20’s that she began to apply this work on her own endurance horses and quickly discovered that what was written in that book was very effective. She practiced massage on her endurance horses who seemed to really love it and stayed very sound and supple despite the many miles they traveled together. This eventually led her to realize that there were more ways to heal horses outside of traditional Western medicine. Sabrina continued to study equine anatomy and athletics from the lens of a more natural holistic healing approach and completely dove into Equine Sports Massage. In 2007 Sabrina began to share her knowledge and experience and brought Equissage to the West. Equissage California and Colorado has trained and certified thousands of Equine Sports Massage Therapists, many of them have gone on to work for the top echelon of horses and riders worldwide. It is with much honor and gratitude that Sabrina is able to have a healing impact and be a part of the well-being of many horses indirectly through her graduates. She is passionate about sharing this work and knows that she is doing exactly what she was destined to do. Sabrina rode on the Equestrian Team in college, has competed in endurance and has tried various different disciplines throughout her life. Currently, she does 3-Day Eventing with her very loved and spoiled Dutch warmblood, Ivano.

Instructor, Equine Bodyworker, Saddle Fitter. Natalie Gregg

Hello everyone! My name is Natalie. Equine massage is a family business and has been a part of my life and career for nearly 20 years. We are a mother/daughter team and are excited to bring you powerful curriculum from both of our fields of expertise. I have an extensive background as an Equine Bodyworker, Saddle Fitter, Instructor, and competitive rider. I have trained and certified hundreds of students over the past 9 years of my career. Not only as an assistant at Equissage California, but also as the founder The Equine Collaborative- where I share my knowledge through a membership style platform, and teach hands on clinics in the beautiful state on Montana. My extensive training in the field of equine bodywork, saddle fitting, and wellness is shared in this online school along with the powerful techniques you will learn from my mom's Equissage California program. The most important part of my job is healing horses, and advocating for equine welfare. An education in equine massage with us is much greater than simply practicing massage - you will learn how to read and understand equine behavior and biomechanics in a completely different light. Join us, and make a positive impact on your own life, career, the lives of horses, and the equine industry as a whole.
